the memorial is coming up, and while i'm resigned to go yet again, it might be a good time to make a statement.
My nose ring prompted an elder to tell me that I'm not doing anything, in reference to teaching my kids about Jehovah. When I got my tongue ring, that just about clinched it. He was a judgmental sob. I was doing great with my kids and only asked for help from the elders because I'm deaf and couldn't help them in FS. Basically, they told me I was on my own. Yes, it sends a statement. F*** 'em.
ha ha ha some of the guys in my office were talking about that every man should get an apostate exam, i swear they said apostate, i said nah not for me i know i would pass.

I didn't read all of the responses so this may be duplicated somewhere in this thread. But, in the NWT Jesus did use the name Jehovah several times. Matthew 4:10, Mark 12:29, and there are many scattered about in the books that Paul wrote.

Being able to find scriptures is good and all, but if one can't apply them, they are worthless. Where is the proof that women are emotionally weaker than men? I'm laughing here.

I've found Jehovah to be too late on a lot of things. He lets things go to the point that they get out of control. "Let Jehovah handle it" is a way of saying "We aren't going to handle it."

I've been to other churches and let me tell you, they do know their Bibles very well. JW's just aren't allowed to find out how well because they aren't allowed to visit churches. She sounds like an abused wife. She needs to get out of the marriage and that oppressive religion. I was in for 37 years from birth. I know what I'm talking about.
